Deze in de 12e en 13e eeuw gebouwde brug, ooit de toegangspoort tot de middeleeuwse stad Sauveterre-de-Béarn, is het onderwerp van een mooie legende, die van koningin Sancie.... In Béarn, maar aan de rand van Baskenland, heeft het vele pelgrims, kooplieden en andere bezoekers over zijn houten ophaalbrug gezien om te schuilen, de stad te bezoeken of er zaken te doen
Dit is een van de mooiste uitzichten op de stad en haar vele vestingwerken, maar ook op de Gave d'Oloron die aan haar voeten stroomt en een genot is voor wildwaterliefhebbers, vissers, zwemmers of gewoon natuurliefhebbers. Van daaruit kunt u talrijke activiteiten ontdekken die u ter beschikking staan, de belofte van een ideaal verblijf.
