Het Noordstrand van Lacanau ligt dicht bij het stadscentrum. Het is iets verwijderd van de parkeerplaatsen, maar een aangenaam bos- en duinpad leidt je naar dit lange zandstrand, omzoomd door duinen.
Tijdens het zomerseizoen zijn er badmeesters aanwezig, dus er is genoeg waterpret voor jong en oud. Dit strand is een echte surfspot en is ook een ontmoetingsplaats voor surfers.
Fastfoodrestaurants en surfscholen zijn hier ook te vinden, alleen in de zomer.
Het toezicht op het noordstrand van Lacanau begint eind mei!
Huisdieren zijn tijdens de zomermaanden niet toegestaan op het strand. Raadpleeg de regels en voorschriften die bij de ingang van het strand zijn opgehangen.
