Op de Route des 3 Abbayes rijst Etival la romane in al zijn schoonheid op aan de oevers van de Valdange.
Toen het in 1147 een belangrijke abdij van de Premonstratenzer orde werd, had Etival al het pad gekruist van grote persoonlijkheden, zoals de heilige Odile of Richarde, keizerin en koningin van Frankrijk.
Eenmaal door de deuren van de 18e-eeuwse voorgevel, zult u tot uw verrassing een prachtige romaanse abdijkerk ontdekken, rijk aan de evolutie van de architectuur door de eeuwen heen.
Romaanse kapitelen, een gotisch koor, 18e-eeuwse koorbanken, een kloostertuin en vestingwerken wachten op u.
