Ginkgos bilobas

Description

De bomen werden in 1864 door de broer van de keizer van Japan aangeboden aan Monsieur de Leffe, bouwer van de spoorlijn Montluçon / Limoges. De 11 bomen werden geplant om het nieuwe station te verfraaien, op het kruispunt Saint-Sulpice / Montluçon en Parijs / Limoges. Hun omtrek varieert van 2,70 tot 3,10 m en ze zijn 25 m hoog. Hun bijzonderheid ligt in de zeldzaamheid van de soort en het feit dat ze in rijen geplant zijn.
