In 1864, the Emperor of Japan's brother presented these trees to Monsieur de Leffe, builder of the Montluçon / Limoges railroad line. The 11 trees were planted to adorn the new station at the Saint-Sulpice / Montluçon and Paris / Limoges junction. Their circumference ranges from 2.70 to 3.10 m, and they are 25 m high. Their curiosity lies in the rarity of the species and their planting in rows.
