De Madonna domineert stilletjes de top van de Langenberg. Dit 1,5 m hoge standbeeld werd opgericht in 1866. Beschermd door het bos, heeft het de tijd en oorlogen overleefd. Volgens de legende was een boswachter de bedenker van dit monument, als erkenning voor de heilige die hem de weg wees toen hij verdwaald was in de mist van dit bos. "Silvae ac in illa orantibus Maria benedicat" gegraveerd op de basis betekent "Moge Maria dit bos zegenen en allen die hier komen bidden".
