Het dorp, omringd door de meander van de Doustre, bestaat uit Roche-Haute aan de rand van het plateau en Roche-Basse, 100 m lager, ingebouwd in de heuvel. Kenmerkend voor de Roche-Basse, bekend vanaf de 9e eeuw, zijn de smalle paadjes bekend als "courrijoux", die toegang gaven tot de terrasvormige velden, en de Tour Canillac, die op het kleine plein staat met zijn fontein, die getuigt van de middeleeuwse invloed van de site.
