Het staat op de lijst van historische monumenten.
Oorspronkelijk begroeven de Mennonieten hun doden in hun tuinen. Vanaf de 19e eeuw kozen de Mennonieten van Salm een stuk grond voor hun begrafenissen, waarvan de locatie nu wordt gemarkeerd door steles met bijzondere vormen en versieringen, een eenvoudig gegraveerd hart. In tegenstelling tot die van Bourg-Bruche wordt deze begraafplaats niet meer gebruikt
Het ligt op privéterrein, niet toegankelijk voor het publiek. Het kan gewoonlijk worden bezocht tijdens de Open Monumentendagen in september.
