De woonwijk Sellier werd gebouwd tussen 1953 en 1956, de eerste naoorlogse woonwijk. Het bestaat uit 240 F2 en F4 woningen in eenvoudige gebouwen en 76 garages gebouwd rond
groene ruimtes. Het schoolcomplex werd in 1959 in gebruik genomen. Net als A. Ribot is H. Sellier een van de grote namen in de sociale huisvesting. Als socialist, minister en burgemeester van Suresnes tussen de oorlogen, voerde hij grote vastgoedoperaties uit met als kern groene ruimtes, om dichter bij het ideaal van de cité-jardin te komen
het ideaal van de tuinstad (een stad in een landelijke omgeving).
