Een klein stadje aan de oevers van de Aisne met een aantal winkels en diensten met uitzicht op een steile rots waarop de ruïnes van een versterkt kasteel te zien zijn, evenals de kerk Saint-Thibault (alleen van buitenaf) en het Maison Forte Wignacourt (alleen van buitenaf). In 1777 ging het vorstendom Château-Porcien door afstamming en huwelijk over in het Huis Monaco. De herinnering aan deze alliantie met de familie Grimaldi leeft voort, want ZKH Prins Albert II van Monaco erfde de titel, nu een eretitel, van Prins van Château-Porcien
