De fronton, gebouwd in Sainte-Eulalie-en-Born, is een muur waartegen Baskisch pelota wordt gespeeld. Het is een architectonisch element dat in bijna alle steden en dorpen van Frans Baskenland en, in mindere mate, in aangrenzende regio's wordt aangetroffen.
De muur is opgetrokken aan het einde van een open plein dat dient als speelveld voor de volgende specialiteiten: blote hand, rebot, joko-garbi, grand chistera, grosse pala, paleta cuir en paleta gomme plein.
In het Baskisch heet deze plaats plaza.
Het open plein is een meestal onoverdekte ruimte bestaande uit één muur, of twee (één aan elk uiteinde). Er zijn frontons in alle maten (10 tot 16 meter breed en ongeveer 6 tot 10 meter hoog), waarvan sommige zelfs overdekt zijn.
