een grapjas noemde het washuis in Colombier "de tempel van de laster". Deze woorden zijn nog te zien op de dakbalk en werden geschilderd in een tijd dat het washuis volop in gebruik was! De ligging van het washuis, midden in de hoofdstraat, stelde de vrouwen van dit "bergdorp" in staat een minimale inspanning te leveren.
Dit washuis, gebouwd aan het einde van de 18e en het begin van de 19e eeuw, valt op door zijn mooie pilaren, zijn stenen platen en de soberheid van zijn lavadak.
