De tuinen van het bisschoppelijk paleis strekken zich uit over 5 hectare in het hart van de wijk Cité. De zes terrassen werden aangelegd op de hellingen van de Puy Saint-Etienne toen er aan het einde van de 18e eeuw een nieuw bisschoppelijk paleis werd gebouwd. Het complex, dat in 1910 door de stad werd aangekocht, is geleidelijk heringericht. Bezoekers kunnen een formele tuin, een grote botanische tuin en een ecologisch gebied ontdekken waar de natuurlijke omgeving van de Limousin wordt getoond. De terrassen bieden een opmerkelijk uitzicht op de oevers van de Vienne.
