De gemeentelijke bibliotheek Simone Veil in Aixe-sur-Vienne is een gratis openbare dienst die voor iedereen toegankelijk is en ondersteund wordt door de Bibliothèque Départementale de la Haute-Vienne.
Meer dan 10.000 boeken voor volwassenen en jongeren kunnen gratis ter plaatse worden geraadpleegd of thuis worden geleend: romans, non-fictie, detectiveverhalen, stripboeken, tijdschriften, jeugdromans, kinderboeken, cd's, dvd's, enz.
De bibliotheek organiseert ook evenementen voor gezinnen, zoals leesuurtjes, biblio-transfers in de zomer, raadselspelletjes, workshops over de natuur en Kerstmis, enz.
