Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog bood het Château de la Hille in Montégut-Plantaurel een veilige haven (zij het niet zonder gevaar...) voor een groep voornamelijk Joodse kinderen, die aan de barbaarsheid van de nazi's ontsnapten.
