Vanaf het grensdorp Arnéguy weerspiegelt deze route de transhumance van de kuddes van de boerderijen in de valleien naar de bergen.
Na de ontdekking van de Ibarrola grenzen markeren de hutten en weiden rond de Hegantza pas deze karakteristieke klim.
