Koningin Victoria woonde hier met haar geliefde prins Albert en hun negen kinderen. Hoewel beroemd om de prachtige Royal Apartments met hun weelderige salon- en eetkamers en de rijkelijk versierde Indiaas-geïnspireerde Durbar Room in het huis, omvatten Osborne's uitgestrekte tuinen en terreinen terrassen, een ommuurde tuin, een privéstrand - compleet met de badmachine van de koningin, en Swiss Cottage waar de koninklijke kinderen speelden. English Heritage zorgt nu voor Osborne.
