Station Milies is ook opmerkelijk omdat het het eindpunt is van de smalspoor (60 cm) Pelionspoorlijn, aangelegd tussen 1895 en 1903 door de Italiaanse ingenieur Evaristo de Chirico, de vader van de beroemde kunstenaar Giorgio de Chirico. Dit bleek een aanzienlijk economisch voordeel voor de regio. De spoorlijn rijdt sinds kort twee keer per week in het weekend tussen Ano Lechonia en Milies.
