Hoewel veel scènes van de film Mamma Mia op Skopelos werden geschoten, werd Damouchari ook gebruikt voor verschillende scènes. Sommige van de Damouchari beelden werden in het begin van Mamma Mia gebruikt toen Christine Baranski en Julie Walters op het eiland aankwamen en werden begroet door Meryl Streep. Deze scenes werden gecombineerd met beelden die op Skopelos werden geschoten. De opnames in Damouhari duurde drie dagen en ongeveer driehonderd mensen werkten samen in deze dagen. Alle shootings vonden plaats in de haven (waar ze een soort houten jachthaven bouwden) en rond het grote verlaten gebouw dat er is.
