Wist je dat de toeristische ontwikkeling in Nidri en omgeving werd tegengehouden door Onassis. Hij wou de omgeving rond zijn eiland Skorpios vooral rustig houden. Alhoewel hij voor veel tewerkstelling zorgde in de streek, was het toch met gemengede gevoelens dat de inwoners van Nidri naar de clan rond Onassis keek.
