Mitchelstown is een stad in County Cork, Ierland met een bevolking van ongeveer 3.740. Mitchelstown ligt in de vallei ten zuiden van de Galtee Mountains, 12 km ten zuidwesten van de Mitchelstown Caves, 28 km van Cahir, 50 km van Cork, 59 km van Limerick en 10 km van Fermoy. De rivier de Gradoge stroomt langs de stad in de rivier de Funshion, die op zijn beurt een zijrivier is van de rivier de Blackwater.
De stad is het best bekend als centrum voor kaasproductie. Mitchelstown valt binnen het Cork East Dáil kiesdistrict.
