De Monte delle Figne, 1172 m, bevindt zich aan de Padaanse zijde van de Ligurische Apennijnen, iets ten noorden van de Ligurisch-Padaanse waterloo. De top, die door de administratieve grens tussen de provincies Genua en Alexandrië gaat, is de hoogste top van dit gebied.
De naam van de berg is waarschijnlijk afgeleid van de Latijnse term fines; de grens tussen het Obertengische en het Aleramische liep immers over de berg.
