Het kasteel van Brandenburg, bevindt zich nu in ruïnes, ligt op een rotsachtige promontore op ongeveer 70 meter boven het dorp Brandenburg in het noord-oosten van Luxemburg. Het heeft een geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de 9e en 10e eeuw toen er op de locatie een houten fort werd gebouwd. In de 13e eeuw bestond het uit vier verdiepingen, waarvan er slechts drie over zijn. In 1668 aanvielen de Fransen het kasteel, en sindsdien is het steeds verder in verval geraakt. Het is nu eigendom van de Luxemburgse staat.
