De kerk in Welscheid is een katholieke kerk die behoort tot de parochie Dikrich Le Bon Pasteur, tot het dekencentrum en tot de gemeente Bourscheid.
De patroonheilige van de kerk is St. Jacobus wiens feestdag wordt gevierd op 25 juli.
De kerk is gelegen tussen Kirchewee en Waarkstrauss. Naast de kerk ligt de begraafplaats.
Behalve de parochiekerk van Welscheid behoort ook de nevenkerk van Burden tot de voormalige parochie van Welscheid.
Geschiedenis
In 1874/75 werd de oude kerk van Welscheid gesloopt en een nieuwe gebouwd volgens de plannen van de architect Antoine Hartmann. De kerk werd ingewijd op 7 juli 1880 door bisschop Nicolas Adames.
Naast de kerk is een Lourdesgrot die in 1958 werd voltooid. In 1995 kreeg de kerk een orgel dat werd gebouwd door de firma Schumacher uit Baelen bij Sankt Vith.
