De Peelrandbreuk verloopt tussen Oss/Heesch/Uden en Neerkant. Hier en daar is deze zichtbare breukzone enkele meters hoog. Het maakt deel uit van een lang breuksysteem dat loopt via Roermond, Uden, Oss, richting Utrecht en dan afbuigt en doorloopt tot Midden-Engeland. Het is ook langs deze breukzone dat er kleine aardbevingen ontstaan na kleine verschuivingen die ontstaan na opgebouwde spanningen langs de breuk. De breuk beweegt nog steeds enkele millimeters per jaar.
