De Stichting Museum Buurtspoorweg (opgericht in 1967) onderhoudt over een traject van ca. 10 km tussen Haaksbergen en Boekelo een museum spoorverbinding met stoomlocomotieven en ander historisch treinmaterieel . Ook het stationsgebouw uit 1884 werd gerestaureerd en het hele emplacement is teruggebracht in de sfeer van rond de eeuwwisseling. Kenmerkend zijn de draaischijven, watertoren, werkplaats, locomotievenloods en het seinhuis (uit 1867).
