Het Haagse Bos is een bos van ongeveer 100ha en maakt deel uit van het grote oerbos, dat vroeger van ''s-Gravenzande tot voorbij Alkmaar liep. Het bos ligt op een oude strandwal en houdt op waar het veen begint.
Over de oudste geschiedenis is niets meer bekend dan dat het bos er altijd is geweest en een reden was voor de Graven van Holland om er in de 13e eeuw een jachtslot te bouwen: het latere Binnenhof.
Het Bos zou door de eeuwen heen, tot op heden aan toe, gebruikt worden als ontmoetingsplaats voor vleselijke contacten, daarbij geen onderscheid makend tussen "natuurlijke en sodomistische".
