Groeningen is een dorp dat tot de gemeente Land van Cuijk behoort, in de Nederlandse provincie Noord-Brabant. Het ligt tussen Vierlingsbeek en Vortum-Mullem en telt ongeveer 130 woonadressen en 380 inwoners .Dit dorp is vooral van belang geweest als pleisterplaats van postwagens en ander verkeer dat zich over de handelsweg van Keulen naar 's-Hertogenbosch voortbewoog. Later werd het een pleisterplaats voor verkeer tussen Venlo en Nijmegen. De postwagens in beide richtingen ontmoetten elkaar hier. Ook werd hier bagage omgeladen van de ene in de andere wagen.
