Lent is een plaats in de gemeente Nijmegen aan de noordoever van de Waal. Oorspronkelijk was het een dorp en tot 1818 ook een zelfstandige gemeente recht tegenover de stad Nijmegen. In het kader van de Waalsprong is Lent onderdeel geworden van de gemeente Nijmegen. Lent had tot 1934 een treinstation op het traject Nijmegen - Arnhem, dat ook in de jaren veertig nog enige tijd gebruikt werd. Dit station is in 2002 heropend onder de naam Nijmegen Lent en in juni 2013 vernieuwd om ook de nieuwbouwwijken van Nijmegen-Noord te bedienen. Vanuit Lent is het 2 km naar het centrum van Nijmegen.
