Apeldoorn ; Veluws: Apeldoorne) is een gemeente op de Veluwe in de Nederlandse provincie Gelderland. De hoofdplaats van de gemeente is de gelijknamige stad. De gemeente telt 165.648 inwoners en is hiermee qua inwonertal de elfde gemeente van Nederland. Het heeft een totale oppervlakte van 341,15 km², en staat hiermee op de negende plek van grootste gemeentes van Nederland en is de grootste in Gelderland. De gemeente bestaat voor 339,89 km² uit land en voor 1,26 km² uit water .
