Miedum is een dorp annex buurtschap in de gemeente Leeuwarden, in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland.
Het ligt ten zuiden van Wijns, ten westen van Giekerk en ten noordoosten van de stad Leeuwarden. Het dorp heeft heeft geen echte kern, de bewoning ligt verspreid tussen de Dokkumer Ee en de Murk. De voormalige kern heeft wel eigen plaatsnaamborden.
