In 1381 wordt Vaeshartelt voor het eerst genoemd, doch in 870 stond er al een kasteel op deze plaats. De hoeve is het oudste gedeelte van het landgoed. Later werd het kasteel gebouwd. In 2011/2012 zullen de Tuinen van Vaeshartelt worden aangelegd. Dat zal gebeuren in de ‘Bloemenheuf’ van landgoed Vaeshartelt. Van oudsher heeft dit terrein van 6 hectare tot het landgoed behoort. Het worden Proeftuinen: mooi om in te wandelen maar ook rijk aan geur- en smaakervaringen.
