I 1381 nævnes Vaeshartelt for første gang, men der eksisterede allerede et slot på dette sted i 870. Gården er den ældste del af godset. Senere blev slottet bygget. I 2011/2012 vil Havene i Vaeshartelt blive anlagt. Det vil ske i 'Bloemenheuf' på godset Vaeshartelt. Traditionelt set har dette område på 6 hektar tilhørt godset. Det bliver prøvehaver: smukke at gå i, men også rige på duft- og smagsoplevelser.
