Dit landgoed kreeg in de 17de eeuw zijn huidige vorm. Het werd bewoond door adellijke en welgestelde burgerfamilies uit Maastricht. Na aanleg van een park in landschappelijke Engelse stijl is het een tijd eigendom geweest van de beroemde familie Regout uit Maastricht. Het park heeft een totale oppervlakte van 18,5 hectare en is in 1994 in de oorspronkelijke stijl teruggebracht. De tuin is een beschermd natuurgebied en onderdeel van het aangrenzende Kelmonderbos. Het huis is niet toegankelijk, maar wel vanuit het opengestelde park te zien.
