De watermolen van Wijlre is met zijn twee waterraderen een van de bekendste watermolens van Zuid-Limburg. Hij maakt deel uit van een grote hoeve, waarvan de molenvleugel met het woongedeelte langs de Geul ligt. Het hoofdgebouw is van mergel- en baksteen en de ramen en deuren hebben hardstenen omlijstingen. Tot in het begin van deze eeuw was het zadeldak met de wolfseinden gedekt met leien.
