Withuis

Withuis is een fraaie uit lintbebouwing bestaande kern, waar vroeger de officiële grensovergang Nederland-België was. U vindt hier nog sporen van douanekantoren, een garage, het Caltex tankstation uit 1953 van de architect Schinkel en horecagelegenheden. Opmerkelijk is ook het grote aantal monumentale panden die alle in de eerste helft van de 19e eeuw werden gebouwd in opdracht van Jan Pieter Nolens. Het is nog steeds de 'inkom' van Eijsden vanuit België.
