Het Katjesbos is een klein ooibosje. Het is spontaan ontstaan nadat de klei er was afgegraven. het bosje bestaat voornamelijk uit schietwilgen en zwarte populieren. Tijdens een januaristorm in 2018 zijn veel bomen omgewaaid. In het bos leven typische bosvogels zoals grote en groene specht, boomkruiper en boomklever. Ook broedt er bijna ieder jaar een buizerd.
