Il Katjesbos è un piccolo boschetto di allevamento. È nato spontaneamente dopo che l'argilla è stata scavata. Il boschetto è composto principalmente da salici e pioppi neri. Durante una tempesta di gennaio nel 2018, molti alberi sono stati abbattuti. Nel bosco vivono tipici uccelli della foresta come il picchio grande, il picchio verde, il rampichino e il picchio muratore. Inoltre, quasi ogni anno vi nidifica un poiana.
