U bent nu bij het pontje van Jonen. Het buurtschap Jonen is bekend om het fiets- en voetveer. Waar de naam Jonen precies vandaan komt, weet eigenlijk niemand. Er zijn twee mogelijkheden. De naam is afgeleid van een joon in het water. Dat is een drijvend tonnetje met een stok erop, als baken in het vaarwater. En dan is er de legende van de Franciscaner monnik Jona. Die ging hier wonen en noemde de plek Jonen.
