Aan de overkant van de Dommel ligt de Genneper watermolen. De molen wordt voor het eerst vermeld in 1249 als schenking aan de norbertijnerpriorij Postel, dat net over de grens in België ligt. In 1648 wordt de molen geconfisqueerd, evenals veel kloosterlijk bezit. De molen is in de loop van eeuwen herhaaldelijk herbouwd en gerestaureerd en heeft verschillende functies gehad, zoals een oliemolen en volmolen. Nu is het een graanmolen en kan er op de waterkracht van de Dommel graan mee worden gemaald.
Vincent van Gogh legde de molen diverse keren vast, zoals in november 1884.
