Doordat het aantal gelovigen toenam in Beek, besloot de bisschop van Roermond over te gaan tot de bouw van een nieuwe kerk. Bekijk de kerk uit 1933 in Beek.
De pastoor van deze plaats moest er voor zorgen dat in Beek wekelijks de Heilige mis werd gelezen. Doordat in de loop van de jaren in Beek het aantal gelovigen toenam besloot de bisschop van Roermond in 1932 over te gaan tot de bouw van een eigen Godshuis. De kerk werd in 1933 gebouwd naar een ontwerp van J. Franssen.
In 1791 is er een kapel gekomen in Beek. Deze kapel was vanaf het begin toegewijd aan Onze Lieve Vrouw en werd bediend vanuit Bracht.
