De ophaalbrug van Breukelen is een historische blikvanger over de Vecht. Van oudsher noemden Amerikanen die in Breukelen op bezoek waren de brug ‘the Dutch Brooklyn bridge’. De klapbrug lijkt natuurlijk in niets op de bijna twee kilometer lange Brooklyn Bridge over de East river in Brooklyn, New York, dus de overeenkomst in de in het Engels uitgesproken naam is niet meer dan een aardigheid. Al vanaf de 16de eeuw lag hier een brug over de Vecht, waarschijnlijk een houten klapbruggetje. De huidige brug is in de zomer van 2022 gebouwd in historische stijl. De brug is het ‘scharnierpunt’ in de twee lussen van de fietstocht Breukelen-Brooklyn 375.
