De Vrijthof in Hilvarenbeek is, omzoomd door bomen en terrassen, het bruisend hart van het dorp. Met de vele gezellige cafés en restaurants vormt het een mooi rustpunt voor wandelaars en fietsers. Midden op De Vrijthof staat een kiosk uit 1925 met vlak daarnaast de bijzondere ‘Gebodenlinde’; een imposante boom, geplant in 1676. Onder deze boom werd jarenlang recht gesproken. De Vrijthof is sfeervol en levendig en werd door columnist Martin Bril niet voor niets geroemd als mooiste dorpskern van Nederland!
Hilvarenbeek is een echte bourgondische gemeente. Er worden hier heerlijke lokale bieren gebrouwen en ook vind je er een aantal wijngaarden waar druiven worden gekweekt voor goede wijnen.
