huis Malborgh
Tot het midden van de negentiende eeuw is huis Malborgh een boerderij geweest; waarna het tegenwoordige woonhuis werd gebouwd. De verdere bebouwing op het terrein is erg jong en behoort al lang niet meer tot het huis. Omstreeks 1970 is het huis in handen van een arts, die het pand antiek heeft bemeubeld. Daarna kwamen er kantoren in. Het huis Malborgh ligt vrijwel in het centrum van Buggenum, maar is niet voor het publiek te bezichtigen.

Het kasteel Malborgh, ook wel Walbergh genoemd, schijnt in vroegere tijden in het bezit geweest te zijn van de van Ghoors, maar al sinds de vijftiende eeuw is het huis het eigendom van een convent met de naam Val Sint Elisabeth.
