Gratis parkeren is soms mogelijk in de omgeving van de spooorovergangen Tongersestraat of in de Mijlstraat.

Geschikte rustplaatsen: 1) na ong. 7,5 km aan Kosterse Hoeven; 2) rond 13 km, Beukendreef, mooie plek maar geen bankjes; 3) na ong. 17.7 km, ingang De Mortelen, schuilhut met bankjes.
