Eindpunt: Maarn station

Niet voor niets kozen veel welgestelden de Utrechtse Heuvelrug als locatie voor hun buitenverblijf. De wandeling gaat door een aantal prachtige landgoederen, zoals Groot Heidestein, de Willinkshof, Bornia en Den Treek-Henschoten.

In het landgoed Bornia wisselen bos, heide en zandverstuivingen elkaar af. Halverwege de route kom je door het dorpje Austerlitz. Het tweede gedeelte van de wandeling gaat een stukje door boswachterij Austerlitz, met de bekende Pyramide van Austerlitz. Statige beukenlanen geven Landgoed Den Treek een bijzondere charme.
