Van Dwingeloo loop je in de richting van Dieverbrug. Je laat dit dorp achter je en slaat rechtsaf de natuur in. Je loopt nu door Nationaal Park Drents-Friese Wold. Dit is een van de grootste en mooiste natuurgebieden van Nederland. Het landschap wisselt zich af door bos, heide, stuifzand en beekdalgraslanden. Na de Veluwe is het Drents-Fries Wold het grootste aaneengesloten bosgebied van ons land. Op de vlaktes lopen grazers. En spot je de zwarte specht? Deze vogel is het symbool van het grote bosgebied. Na een kleine 25 kilometer kom je weer aan bij je beginpunt. Tijd voor welverdiende ontspanning!
