From Dwingeloo, you walk towards Dieverbrug. You leave this village behind and turn right into nature. You are now walking through the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. This is one of the largest and most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. The landscape alternates between forests, heathland, sand dunes, and flood meadows. After the Veluwe, the Drents-Friese Wold is the largest contiguous forest area in our country. Herd animals roam the plains. And do you see the black woodpecker? This bird is the symbol of the large forest area. After about 25 kilometers, you will return to your starting point. Time for well-deserved relaxation!
