Met een oppervlakte van ongeveer 98 km² ligt het Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park aan de kust van de provincie Prachuap Khiri Khan, ten zuiden van Hua Hin. Het is het eerste mariene nationale park in Thailand. Khao Sam Roi Yot betekent "De berg met driehonderd pieken" en verwijst naar een reeks kalkstenen heuvels langs de Golf van Thailand, met de hoogste piek op 605 meter boven zeeniveau. De noordwesthoek van het bergmassief wordt Thung Sam Roi Yot genoemd en is voornamelijk een zoetwater-moeras dat bijna 37% van het nationale park beslaat, wat het het grootste moerasgebied in Thailand maakt. De belangrijkste attracties van het nationale park zijn de Phraya Nakhon-grot, met zijn iconische koninklijke paviljoen en enorme kamer, de Kaeo-grot en het Thung Sam Roi Yot zoetwater-moeras. Het park is ook een mooie bestemming vanwege de rijke fauna in het zoetwater-moeras en de mangrovebossen, prachtige stranden, kalksteeneilanden, paden en uitzichten.
