Het Mater Ecclesiae-klooster is een klooster in Vaticaanstad. Het werd rond 1990 opgericht door paus Johannes Paulus II als een klooster voor cloistered nonnen. In 2013 werd het de residentie van paus emeritus Benedictus XVI na zijn ontslag.
Het klooster, vernoemd naar een katholieke titel voor Maria als "Moeder van de Kerk", ligt op de Vaticaanse Heuvel in de Vaticaanse Tuinen en nabij de Aquilone-fontijn. Het werd opgericht door paus Johannes Paulus II om een gemeenschap van nonnen van een afgesloten religieuze orde in Vaticaanstad te hebben, die voor de paus moesten bidden in zijn dienst aan de katholieke kerk. Deze taak werd in het begin toevertrouwd aan de nonnen van de Orde van Sint-Clara, beter bekend als de Arme Claretten. Deze opdracht werd echter elke vijf jaar verschoven naar een andere vrouwelijke monastieke orde, die dan het klooster zou bezetten.
